Mayor Jones Honors January Officer of the Month

Corporal Eddie Blakely, who has served as a Mobile police officer for sixteen years, currently serves in the First Precinct and was awarded the honor of Officer of the Month for his exceptional performance during the month of January.

Corporal Blakely is a three-year member of the First Precinct Ranger South Detail and works alongside newer members in order to provide guidance and training. He is quite adept at obtaining information on suspects, as demonstrated by his numerous drug arrests throughout the month of January. He is a valuable talent in the city’s goal of keeping illegal drugs and criminals off the streets of Mobile.

Corporal Blakely’s initiative and enthusiasm in performing his duties show a proactive police style which is an asset to the Mobile Police Department. His success is the result of good police work.
