Magistrates Move to Precinct 2

Jan 9th, 2018

Mobile, Ala. -- Two Magistrates have relocated to Mobile Police Precinct 2 in the Cloverleaf Plaza at 5441 Highway 90 . Citizens can now pay warrants, traffic tickets, and other minor offenses between 8 am and 4 pm at this new location. Tickets can also be paid online.

"The magistrates' new location is more accessible to many of our citizens," said Mayor Stimpson. "Our goal is to create a more efficient, higher quality of service for everyone. We will continue to provide our staff with the tools and resources they need to serve our citizens."

The Mobile Police Department recently opened this new police station to establish a more central location in the precinct.

The previous location, 4851 Museum Drive, is outside the boundaries of the assigned precinct jurisdiction, making police officers travel 19 miles and 29 minutes from the furthest point. With the new location, police officers only have to travel 10.3 miles from the furthest point and 16 minutes - cutting response time nearly in half at shift change.
