Litter Summit Spreads the Word About Being Clean

On Saturday, June 30, Mayor Sam Jones hosted the first Litter Summit in Mobile at Hank Aaron Stadium. The event was an effort to bring together community leaders who have led successful cleanups to share their best practices with others. The event was a tremendous success toward achieving its mission – to heighten awareness of the problem of litter and to provide information and resources to address the problem.

The event was put on by Keep Mobile Beautiful and the Office of Neighborhood and Community Services. Many members of the City Council as well as their appointments on the Keep Mobile Beautiful Board were in attendance.
