Jazzy Arts & Crafts on Display at City Hall

Come check out the best artworks from the youth of Mobile as they go on display in the Government Plaza atrium on Monday, March 5 through Friday, March 9, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The art that will be on display is from children that attend art classes held at Dotch, Seals and Springhill Community Centers and Rickarby Park.

The art programs are intended to expose children to the various forms of art media. It is been document that participating in art increases children’s performance at all level of academia. Art can assist with: problem solving, eye hand coordination, teaches visual communication, develop self esteem, provide a sense of accomplishment, presents an awareness of different cultures, an enjoyment of color and design, close observation skills and other social and civic advantages.
