It's BBQ Time in Mobile

In case you’ve missed the news, it’s BBQ time in Mobile!

On March 9 & 10, UCP will be hosting the 6th annual Mitchell Company BBQ Championship & Hog Wild Festival.

This great family-friendly event features:

· 150 competitive barbecue teams vying for a share of $25,000 in prize money.

· Lonestar and Blake Shelton performing live on the Budweiser stage.

· The Battle for Bayfest, six finalists (out of 25 regional bands) compete for a prime-time spot at Mobile’s music festival.

· More than 100 horses and riders competing in a nationally-sanctioned barrel races.

· Alec Naman providing outdoor cooking recipes and tips on grilling and smoking.

· Over 50 local professional artists creating special pieces of artwork, right there, at the festival. Each piece will be available through silent auction with UCP receiving all of the proceeds.

· The Mystics of Swine Parade – with five floats, marching bands, clowns, horses, and more, it is easily the largest Mardi Gras Parade in West Mobile.

· The Pepsi Kids Corner, which is a huge collection of interactive fun for children. It features a rock wall, a petting zoo, moon-walks, slides, obstacle courses, and arts & crafts.

· Racing fun at the Talladega Superspeedway exhibit and a simulated stock car race in an authentic Busch-series car.

· Pig Races, Pie Eating Contests, Arts & Craft Vendors, Military Displays, Ice Cream Eating Contests, and more

Tickets for the concert, which include weekend admission to the festival, cost $25 through Ticketmatser, or $35 at the gate.

Weekend passes for the festival, which do not include admission to the concert, are just $10 and can be purchased at all BankTrust locations.

Day passes to the festival will be available for $7 at the gate.
