Remember the Titans Coach to Speak to Students in Mobile

Mobile Mayor Sam Jones is proud to host Coach Herman Boone at the Mobile Civic Center Theater on Wednesday, April 25, 2007. More than 2,000 students from public and private schools in Mobile will listen to the coach whose inspirational story inspired the Disney film Remember the Titans.

"The positive images and the inspiration that's to be derived from an experience with Mr. Boone will be a lifetime reward for the young people of our community,” said Mayor Jones. “I firmly believe that if from this experience our students can be encouraged to ‘Remember the Titans,’ they will eventually learn the real values and the strengths of their differences.

Coach Boone now travels the country helping schools and businesses to understand that diversity can lead to greater success.
