The City of Mobile’s Neighborhood and Community Services Department continues its new program, Friday Night Flicks, an outdoor movie series on Friday, November 13th at Public Safety Park at 2301 Airport Blvd. in District 5 from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. The inflatable screen, film and sound equipment is capable of serving 250 people per screening; and this month’s film is “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.” Neighbors from each community, as well as from others in different districts, are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to sit on during the event.Ann Rambeau, manager of the department says, “We purchased this film system as a means to introduce ourselves to the communities in each district, as well as neighbors to each other.”
Friday Night Flicks will travel during the fall and spring to different city parks in an effort to bring communities together as well as offer a free form of entertainment during these tough economic times.
The schedule for the fall series is available at our website, www.ncsmobile.org. The spring series will begin in March and will be posted after the first of the year.
