Happy St. Patrick's Day

Mar 22nd, 2006

This years St. Patrick's Day was a warm, sunny day in downtown Mobile. There was every shade of green in the crowds of young and old. There were also bright and charismatic outfits for the day.

The Friendly Sons of St. Patrick started the day with mass at the Cathedral and then Archbishop Lipscomb walked them out to begin the parade. McGill-Tollen Catholic School Band fired up with good beat for the marchers. Green and white beads, roses and trickets were thrown by the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick as they walked down Dauphin Street. Some even rode in antique cars and three floats followed behind. It was a green day in downtown Mobile.
