Girl Scouts kick off membership drive at Lyons Park

Girls and adults in Eight Mile, Prichard and north Mobile are invited to join Girl Scouts of the Deep South Council at a membership drive on Saturday, Aug. 21 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Lyons Park.

Get information about joining troops in the area, and enjoy free hot dogs, soft drinks, prizes, music, games and much more.

"We are excited about the new year, and we need leaders for our girls," said Service Unit 8 Manager Gwen McGrew. "We want to increase our membership while serving all girls in our area, but we need the help of the community."

As an incentive, all adults who sign up to become a leader will receive a free, one-year Girl Scout membership compliments of Service Unit 8.
