Geese at Langan Park Fly to New Homes

More than half of the 250 geese and ducks from Langan Park were adopted out to good homes on Saturday. The USDA helped corral the birds, and citizens with good homes took them back for a life on the lake.

The adoption was put together through an effort from Mobile City Councilwoman Gina Gregory, the Langan Park Alliance and the Mobile SPCA. Citizens needed a pond or lake on their property to be eligible to adopt a bird.
