FROM THE MOBILE HISTORIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION

Sep 20th, 2004

The Mobile Historic Development Commission has a number of publications from the National Park Service that are helpful in repairing and restoring historic buildings. Of particular interest are “Preservation Briefs” that address repair to historic plaster, historic wood windows, historic wood siding, and historic stucco. These publications are also available online at the National Park Service Heritage Preservation Services website, www.2.cr.nps.gov . In addition, MHDC staff can offer technical advice and guidance when working with damaged historic materials. For a complete list of publications available, please call the Mobile Historic Development Commission at 251-208-7281.

MHDC staff is standing by to issue emergency CoA's in order to allow Historic District residents to make repairs to their property.
