Free Mulch from Recycled Christmas Trees to be Given Away

The Christmas trees have been collected, Mobile Forest Products is grinding them into mulch and Keep Mobile Beautiful will give it away FREE this Saturday.

Area gardeners can use the mulch in flowerbeds to help retain moisture, retard weed growth and return nutrients to the soil.

The free mulch will be distributed on a first come, first served basis – until it is gone. City of Mobile Public Works crews will load trucks and trailers. There will be a self load area but you must bring a container and a shovel or pitch fork.

ALL LOADS MUST BE SECURELY COVERED before leaving the Fairground area.
