Free Mulch

Thousands of old Christmas Trees have been ground into terrific garden mulch thanks to Mobile Forest Products and their giant tub grinder. The mulch can be used by area gardeners in flowerbeds and around trees to help retain moisture, retard weed growth and return valuable nutrients to the soil.

The free mulch will be given away on a first come, first served basis beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 15.
• City of Mobile crews will be on hand to load pick-up trucks and trailers
• Bring a tarp to cover your load
• A special “load your own” area will be available – bring a shovel or pitch fork and containers such as bags, buckets or boxes

WHEN? Saturday, January 15 7:00 a.m. until it’s gone (about 1:00)

WHERE? Greater Gulf State Fairgrounds Corner of Cody Road and Ziegler Boulevard

REMINDER: Christmas tree recycling is now over. Please ask everyone to stop taking their trees to the recycling sites.
