Fourth Annual Transit Awareness Day

The fourth annual Transit Awareness Day will be held this year at the William Clark Family Center on Main Street in Prichard.

It will run from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2012. Once again the day will feature the Mobile Patriots, Mobile’s own nationally known wheel chair team who will play an exhibition game.

Additionally, the Mobile Police Department team will play the Wave Transit Team.

Also, local vendors will be in attendance to share information about their services including representatives of the State Insurance Assistance Program, the Teen Center, the Independent Living Center, Volunteers of America, and the Homeless Coalition.

The Wave is asking attendees to bring donations of school supplies to donate to Fonde Elementary School.
