FOODHANDLER CLASSES SCHEDULED

The Mobile County Health Department will offer foodhandler classes at the following locations in June:

Saraland Civic Center
Mae Street
June 1, 2004
10:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Bayou La Batre Community Center
Padgett Switch Road
June 10, 2004
11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Tillmans Corner Community Center
5055 Carol Plantation
June 16, 2004
6:00 p.m.

Jon Archer Center
1070 Schillinger Road, North
June 24, 2004
9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.


It is advisable to arrive at least 15 minutes early in order to fill out the application. Parents are encouraged to make arrangements for childcare, as no one under age 12 will be allowed in the classroom.

Classes are regularly scheduled on Tuesday's, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s at 8:30 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the Health Department's downtown location on 251 N. Bayou Street in building 6.

Foodhandler cards must be renewed annually at a fee of $7.00. Classes for groups of 25 employees or more can be arranged by calling the Health Department at 690-8116.
