Figures Park to undergo transformational makeover

Jul 11th, 2016

Mobile, Ala. - The Lowe's Heroes Project, in partnership with the City of Mobile, is giving the Michael Figures Community Center a transformational makeover.

The Lowe's Heroes program will donate $2,500 for materials and supplies. Lowe's will also supply the volunteers for the renovation project.

As a fixture in the Mobile community, the Michael Figures Community Center will undergo an interior paint job, exterior pressure washing and an area litter clean up. Keep Mobile Beautiful will be organizing the cleanup related efforts including reaching out to volunteers and supplying cleanup equipment.

"I want to thank Lowe's for investing in our community. Because the city's community centers are an important part of neighborhood identity, they must be brought back to life after years of neglect," said Mayor Stimpson. "This face lift will create a family friendly atmosphere that is welcoming for all of our citizens."
