Entitlement Committee Meets on 2011-2012 Action Plan

The City Council Entitlement Committee, chaired by Councilman Fred Richardson, met yesterday to review the Fourth Program Year Action Plan, FY 2011-2012, and to recommend action on the Plan to the Council. The Committee recommended an amendment to the Plan to direct the expenditure of $450,000 in CDBG funds for CDBG eligible activities in District Four. These include park improvements at Maitre Park, Theodore Municipal Park and PCF Howard Park.

Certain funds allocated in the Proposed Plan will be reduced to fund this additional activity. These are; City of Mobile Rehab/Loan Grant Fund, which will be reduced by $400,000, and MHDC Program to eliminate Blight, and to Rehabilitate Historic Properties, which will be reduced by the amount of $50,000.
