Draft 2017 Capital Improvement Plan

Jul 1st, 2016

After a collaborative process with both the City Council and the Administration, the City of Mobile is introducing the proposed $21 million Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for 2017. By the end of fiscal year 2018, the City will have invested $63 million in infrastructure repairs throughout the City including sidewalk, drainage, resurfacing and park projects. The City established the CIP to address the growing backlog of infrastructure needs and to establish a process for the continued allocation of funding for these important repairs and improvements. By undertaking capital improvement projects across the city, the City is setting into motion much-needed repairs to Mobile's streets, sidewalks, ditches, and parks. As repairs are made, parents will be able push baby strollers down smooth sidewalks, families will be able to enjoy our parks and drivers should feel safer on our roads.
