Phillips is the best selling author of Lincoln On Leadership, Leading with the Heart; Coach K's Successful Strategies for Basketball, Business and Life and many more books on teamwork, selfless leadership and how the lessons learned apply in today's complex society.

Phillips has 20 years of experience in business and industry, having held various managerial positions with such major corporations as Mobil, Tenneco, Consolidated Natural Gas and Electronic Data Systems (EDS). He served as Mayor of Fairview, Texas for three terms and past speaking engagements include the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, American Football Coaches Association and Federal Computer Weekly CIO Summit.

Phillips will speak about leadership and team leadership and will sign and sell his latest book, Character in Action: The U.S. Coast Guard on Leadership with James M. Loy.
