DEA Praises City's Public Safety Director
Jul 23rd, 2003
Mobile's Public Safety Director gets high praise from the Drug Enforcement Agency for his involvement in the Integrated Drug Enforcement Assistance project. "IDEA" as it’s called, is a DEA project designed to rid targeted neighborhoods of illegal drugs. During the July 22, 2003 City Council meeting, Resident Agent in Charge of the Mobile DEA office, Sam Houston, presented Cashdollar with an award for his hard work and dedication to the Mobile/Prichard IDEA program. Thanks to Cashdollar's involvement, a Drug prevention Summit held in December of 2002 produced suggestions from citizens and law enforcement officials to rid the area of illegal drugs.
