Councilman Burrell to Host District Three Pride Weekend

Councilman Jermaine Burrell will host several events as part of the inaugural “District Three Pride Weekend” on April 16 – 18, 2010. The weekend is designed to increase a sense of ownership and respect within the citizens of District Three. The list of events includes:

Friday, April 16

Respect Our Seniors Breakfast in the Magnolia Ballroom (USA Brookley Complex), starting at 8 a.m.
Family Movie Night – Michael Jackson’s THIS IS IT at Rickarby Park starting at 6 p.m.

Saturday, April 17

Community Wide Cleanup – Meet at Police Precinct in the R.V. Taylor Plaza (corner of Arlington and Ann Streets) at 8 a.m. to collect beautification supplies.

Sunday, April 18

District Day of Prayer – Each church in District Three is asked to set aside a moment to pray for the strengthening of our community.

The District Three Pride Weekend is sponsored by Circle K, Coca-Cola, Keep Mobile Beautiful, and the University of South Alabama.
