Councilman and Coach Recognizes Championship Team

Mobile City Councilman William Carroll congratulated the Port City Rain 5th Grade Girls Basketball team on their 2013 Youth Basketball of America (YBOA) National Championship at the council meeting on July 9, 2013. If it looked like he took particular pride in their achievement, it's not only because his own daughter was a member of the team, but also because he was their coach!

The Port City Rain 5th Grade Girls Basketball team finished the season at an impressive 32-7. The roster included:
