Commissioning Ceremony of Mobile Fire-Rescue Department Fireboat the "Phoenix"

The new fireboat the "Phoenix" was commissioned and blessed on February 14, 2006 with a ceremony at Cooper Riverside Park. Fire Chief Steve Dean opened the ceremony with a few comments about the new fireboat. Dick Cashdollar gave facts new fireboat and the important role it will play in fire-rescue missions in the port of Mobile. The vessel was blessed by Archbishop Oscasr Lipscomb and then Mayor Jones presented the "Phoenix" and then started off the demonstration.
