Come Celebrate Independence Day at Battleship Memorial Park

Jul 1st, 2016

Come celebrate Independence Day with us. Enjoy an evening of patriotic music, picnicking and fireworks at Battleship Memorial Park, 2703 Battleship Parkway. Gates will open for on-field parking at 5:00 p.m. Admission is $5 per car.

This year's event includes a rousing patriotic concert by the Mobile Symphonic Pops Band at 7:00 p.m. followed by the fireworks spectacular at 9:00 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets. No grills, alcoholic beverages or personal fireworks allowed. Tents are allowed in the viewing area only. Tent set up in the parking area is prohibited. The Galley, our snack bar, will be selling concessions on the grounds, including hotdogs and hamburgers. The USS ALABAMA will be closed to the public during the event.

If you are viewing the fireworks show from the water, the City of Mobile is asking that you stay 750 feet away from the fireworks barge and the USS ALABAMA. Marine Police and the Mobile Fire Department will be strictly enforcing the safety zone.

Battleship Memorial Park will be open on July 4th from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 pm. for tours.

Life South Community Blood Services will be holding their annual July 4th Blood Drive from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Park.

The Fourth of July Celebration is presented by the City of Mobile and Battleship Memorial Park. For more information contact the City of Mobile Office of Special Events at 251-208-1550.

This year, Shoe Station and Regions Bank are generously sponsoring the 2016 City of Mobile Independence Day Fireworks Celebration.
