City Sponsored Farmers’ Markets Return with Fall Crop

The city-sponsored farmers’ markets are back with fresh fall crops for the season. Come out and join us every Thursday afternoon for the Market in the Park in Langan Park beginning October 4th through November 15th and every Saturday morning in Cathedral Square for Market on the Square from October 6th through November 17th. The events times will run from 3 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and from 8 a.m. until noon, respectively.

Shop for fresh fall fruits and vegetables including greens, okra, satsumas, nuts, honey, seafood, baked goods, freshly cut flowers, plants, casseroles, sweet potatoes, fall corn, functional pottery, handcrafted jewelry, and much more. Entertainment is provided at each event, with live musicians, painting projects and free admission courtesy of the Mobile Museum of Art on Thursdays.

Market in the Park and Market on the Square are public market initiatives of the City of Mobile’s Neighborhood and Community Services designed to provide a central gathering place for residents & visitors of the LoDa and Langan Park districts, while promoting and supporting our local farming economy.
