City of Mobile's email server is up and running

The City of Mobile's external email server is now up and running after hackers shut down the system last week. Any citizen who sent an email to any city employee last week should resend their message as not all of the emails were recovered after the cyber attack.

The server shut down Tuesday afternoon when the hackers used the city's computer system to send out spam and email blasts. Fortunately, no citizen’s private information was compromised during the attack.

A new system has replaced the 20-year-old server to protect against future cyber attacks.
