City of Mobile Reschedules Kids Day in Bienville

Jun 28th, 2017

Mobile, Ala. -- Due to weather, tomorrow's Kids Days in Bienville has been rescheduled to coincide with ArtWalk on July 14. This event series has been a Mobile tradition for more than 15 years, attracting thousands of children to Downtown Mobile each summer.

"We need to provide our youth access to safe recreational opportunities—especially now when they are out of school," said Mayor Stimpson. "Offering free activities for our children such as Kids Day in Bienville reverses the effects of violence and secures a bright future for our young people. We will continue to expand resources for productive enrichment that touches the lives of our children and delivers impactful and lasting results."

There will be a variety of activities, performances and displays for kids of all ages. Activities include balloon clowns, the Mobile Police Department Mounted Unit's mini horses, Uncle Joe's Rolling Zoo, the Dauphin Island Sea Lab's Touch Lab, hands-on crafts and story time by the Mobile Public Library.
