City of Mobile Presents Holiday Film Series at Riverside Ice

Mobile, Ala.- This week marks the beginning of Holiday Movie Nights at Riverside Ice. Starting tonight, the City will be screening a series of holiday movies free of charge to the public in the amphitheater at Cooper Riverside Park.

Coinciding with Riverside Ice’s Family Night, Tuesdays nights will show family friendly movies including Elf on December 13th, Home Alone 2 on December 20th and Jingle All the Way on December 27th. Each showing will begin promptly at 6 pm. Along with the free movie, every child accompanied by at least one adult will receive free admission to Riverside Ice.

Friday nights will be date night and will screen holiday movies rated PG13 including Madea Christmas on December 16th, Family Stone on December 23rd and Trading Places on December 30th. Each showing will begin at 7:30 pm.

During movie nights, families can enjoy hot chocolate from Yellow Hammer Coffee and Local cuisine from Corrine’s Rolling Kitchen.

“This is an opportunity for the entire family to come out and enjoy holiday cheer on the waterfront of Mobile, Alabama,” said Mayor Stimson. “To become the most family-friendly City in America, we must provide more activities like this that has something for everyone. The holiday season is an important time for our community to come together, and this is one way we can all celebrate.”

Riverside Ice is open 7 days a week operating from 11 am to 10 pm on Monday through Thursday, 11 am to 11 pm on Friday and Saturday and 12 pm to 8 pm on Sunday. Admission for skating will be $10 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under. This includes the cost of skate rentals. For more information, visit www.RiversideIce.com.
