City of Mobile Offers Garbage and Grease Pickup to Mardi Gras Vendors

The City of Mobile wants to remind Mardi Gras vendors that illegal pouring or draining of wastewater, cooking grease or other illicit material into the City’s storm water system is a violation of the City’s Storm Water Ordinance.

The City will provide at no cost garbage pickup and oil/grease pickup. We ask that vendors containerize the grease, in either the original container or some other appropriate container. Cooking oil should be set apart from regular garbage. Empty containers can be picked up at no cost from our recycling center located at 1451 Government Street.
