City Leaders Barking For a Dog Park

Members of the Mobile City Council will be at PetSmart on Airport Blvd. this Saturday, July 23, 2011 at noon handing out fliers encouraging pet lovers to cast their VOTE for a $100,000 grant to build a dog park at Medal of Honor Park in West Mobile.

Mobile is one of 15 cities vying for the $100,000 which is judged on solely by votes. Folks in Mobile can vote by going to:

“We can win this,” said Mobile City Councilmember Bess Rich. “We need everyone, including their family and friends to vote.”

Friends of Mobile Dog Park will be distributing fliers at pet stores throughout the city. Mobile is currently fifth in the running for the grant, trailing Montgomery.
