City Launches New Online Courts Service

May 22nd, 2008

Paying citations is much easier with this month’s launch of the City’s new Online Court Service. The system seamlessly blends telephone and Internet to improve customer service for obtaining citation information and paying for violations. The online system uses technology from Tele-Works, Inc. that is designed expressly for helping the public better communicate with local government.

Information about citations and payment options are available 24/7 by calling (251) 208-5696, or by clicking on “Online Ticket Payments” at the City’s Web site www.cityofmobile.org. The system provides the user with information such as date and location of the offense, court date if any, and amount due.

Payment options of credit card and electronic check make paying for a citation quick and easy, even at the last minute.

“Mobile’s Online Court Service uses the latest customer service technology to help the City better serve our residents,” said Mayor Sam Jones. “We want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to take care of citation payments quickly and efficiently, with as little hassle as possible.”

Online Court Service is part of the City’s ongoing plan to offer the public many choices in how they connect with their government’s information and service centers.
