City Council Finance Committee meeting to discuss GulfQuest financing restructuring

The Mobile City Council Finance Committee will meet on Thursday, July 14, 2011 at 12 noon at Mobile Government Plaza in the Council 9th-floor Conference Room (205 Government Street) to discuss Mayor Sam Jones's restructuring of $10.2 million of the City’s Outstanding General Obligation Warrant Series 2011 and the borrowing of $3 million to complete the construction of GulfQuest Maritime Museum.

The interactive museum, located on Mobile’s waterfront, will highlight the city's seagoing history, dating back to the 1990s. The construction of the museum is slated to be completed in 2012.
