City Council Approves Request for Annexation Vote

By a unanimous decision, the Mobile City Council approved a request to Mobile County Probate Judge Don Davis to schedule annexation elections for four areas of unincorporated Mobile County who have asked to become a part of the city. The request asked Judge Davis to enter an order within ten days that schedules the vote for not less than 20 days and no more than 40 days.

The four areas that have asked to join the city and will have the chance to vote include the King's Branch subdivision and a stretch of Moffett Road from the city limit to Schillinger Road; the Windmill subdivision just west of Cody Road and south of Hitt Road; the Dominion and Wellington area south of the Mobile Regional Airport along Snow Road; and the Theodore area.
