Celebrate Gucci Day

Gucci, Alabama's famous Goodwill Ambassador for Animal Welfare, needs help. He was badly burned in a horrific act of animal cruelty in May 1994. Since then he has worked along side his "Dad", Doug James, to educate the public and the government to the plight of abused animals. Together they inspired the writing of Alabama's Pet Protection Act aka "The Gucci Bill" in the Alabama Legislature.

Now Gucci needs more surgery. He has a pinched nerve in his back and is having trouble walking. Auburn University has agreed to help with some of the costs. His friends will be having a fundraiser, sponsored by The Friends of the Mobile Animal Shelter, at:
