AVA'S MAN: MOBILE'S BOOK

The Tricentennial Book Committee has launched what promises to be a very successful drive to encourage all of Mobile to read Ava's Man by Rick Bragg. The library has 600 copies of the book. Rick Bragg is a Pulitzer Prize winning reporter for the New York Times and a native of Alabama. His book is a classic story of the South among the poor, but remarkable people. Do read with us! There will be essay writing contests that will be announced.
