America Recycles Day

Every day should be a recycling day and Keep Mobile Beautiful is going to celebrate recycling this Saturday at the Metro Recycling Center located at 1451 Government Street from 9 a. m. – 12 noon.

Recycling center visitors will be able to register for a drawing for great prizes.

The Metro Recycling Center will be open for regular hours of operation.

The most important part of the day will be a document shredding event sponsored by Safe Shredding.

Now is the time to safely dispose of old private documents including those used for past income tax preparation, bank or medical records! Documents will be shredded on site.

The shredding event will take place from 9 a. m. – 12 noon on Stocking Street next to the Recycling Center.

Here is how it works - pack up your old documents in up to 3 bags or boxes and bring them to the shredding area on Stocking Street.

Keep Mobile Beautiful volunteers will be on hand to help unload your papers and put them in the shredder.
