Airport Boulevard Capacity Meetings to be Held

The City of Mobile will hold two Public Involvement Meetings for proposed Project No. 100055062. The Project consists of increasing the capacity of Airport Boulevard from Snow Road to US 90 to improve the overall operating effectiveness for traveling in the corridor. The first meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Congregation Ahavas Chesed Synagogue, 705 Regents Way, Mobile AL 36609, and the second from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012, at St. Pius X Church, 217 Sage Avenue, Mobile AL 36606. These meetings will be informal walk-in information sessions open to the public. Interested citizens may conveniently plan their arrival and attendance for anytime between the above stated hours.

The purpose of these meetings is to provide an opportunity for interested persons to examine and to present views and comments on the proposed alternates. This includes views on the social, economic, environmental and other effects of the proposed project.

Formal presentations are scheduled for 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Those attending will be provided project information by means of visual displays, handout materials, and informal discussions with the City of Mobile and Consultant personnel. Attendees may comment and express their views on the project through informal discussions with the City of Mobile and Consultant personnel, by making written or recorded statements during the meeting, or by submitting written comments within ten business days of the meeting to:
