Airbus Groundbreaking to be Streamed Live on City Website

“Airbus will transform the economic landscape with thousands of jobs for our area,” said Mobile Mayor Sam Jones. In an effort to share the groundbreaking ceremony for Airbus on Brookley Aeroplex, Jones announced Friday that the ceremony will be streamed live on the city’s website (www.cityofmobile.org) and the city’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/cityofmobile). The event will take place on Monday, April 8 2013 starting at 10 a.m.

“This is going to be a tremendous event for our city, and I want as many people to be able to access it as possible,” said Mayor Jones. “We shared the news with every citizen when Mobile was selected as the site of this aerospace giant. Technology now allows us the opportunity to allow everyone to view the groundbreaking from their homes, offices, or wherever. This is all about Mobile.”

After the groundbreaking, interviews with Airbus and local officials will be available for viewing. The video will also be archived so that it can be viewed at any time in the future.
