Advisory: City of Mobile to Host Inaugural Vendor Town Hall on Wednesday

Media Advisory for Event on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 - The City of Mobile will host its very first Vendor Town Hall on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the auditorium in Government Plaza. Attendees will learn more about the City's new vendor self-service portal, the City's supplier diversity program, upcoming City business opportunities and vendor engagement programs. For those who cannot attend, the town hall will also be livestreamed on the City of Mobile's website.

Last year, Mayor Stimpson created the City's very first Supplier Diversity Program to help minority, women and disadvantaged business enterprises overcome challenges that make it more difficult to win contracts and work on City projects. Since its inception, the Supplier Diversity Office has launched its first online vendor portal, hosted its first Industry Day and is now holding its Inaugural Vendor Town Hall.
