A Fourth of July Celebration

Jun 17th, 2003

The City of Mobile and the Mobile Register will host our Nation's birthday celebration in Cooper Riverside Park (downtown next to the Mobile Convention Center) on Friday, July 4, 2003.

At 6:00 p.m., Emerge will get the crowd started by playing a variety of tunes ranging from Motown, Jazz and Old school. If you like smooth jazz with a touch of soul, a hint of funk and a little old school, then Emerge has the sound for you. At 7:30 p.m., the outdoor concert will continue with the Mobile Pops Band playing a variety of patriotic tunes that will set the tone for the fireworks display. At 9:00 p.m., the fireworks will burst high above the Mobile River with music by the Mobile Pops Band playing in the background.

The area will open at 5:00 p.m.; please bring your own lawn chairs, blankets and picnic baskets.

NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE PERMITTED IN CITY PARKS!
