MOBILE (FEBRUARY 6, 2004) - Multi-platinum, Grammy nominated band 3 Doors Down today announced a "Homecoming Concert" at the Mobile Civic Center on Friday, March 26th. A portion of the proceeds from the band, Mobile Civic Center, and the promoter will be donated to local Gulf Coast charities.

Proving themselves to be one of America’s most popular rock and roll bands (Billboard Magazine named them Group of the Year for 2003), 3 Doors Down have sold over 10 million records in the US alone since debuting in 2000 with The Better Life. Their triple platinum certified sophomore CD Away From The Sun debuted in the Top Ten of Billboard’s Top 200 Albums Chart and has remained in that charts’ top 30 for the past 63 weeks- this week at #28. Away From The Sun spawned two #1 singles last year including (according to Nielsen) the #1 most played song in the country "When I’m Gone" and the still on the charts "Here Without You." The band also released a rock track "Road I’m On" that was used in conjunction with a NASCAR promotion and featured Dale Earnhadrt, Jr and Tony Stewart in the video. Their third single, the title track from Away From The Sun, has been the most added single at rock radio since it’s release 2 weeks ago and is quickly moving up the charts.

3 Doors Down have performed over 300 shows a year to sold out venues and captive audiences.

Rolling Stone says their performance is "proof that nothing’s wrong with good straight-ahead rock, the band and its fans are all about emotion" while the LA Times adds, "Arnold is a confident and charismatic…frontman. His stage presence made the concert a richer way to experience this band."
