Workshop Participation

ADEM, USEPA, ADOR and the City of Mobile are pleased to announce the Southwest Alabama Brownfields and Competitive Grant Writing Workshop. Interested persons should register to attend the meeting on a space available basis before March 16th, 2011. Registration for the workshop is easy, just email Larry Norris, Chief of ADEM’s Redevelopment Section at lan@adem.state.al.us with a request to attend.

Workshop Agenda

This one day workshop will provide information on three major aspects of brownfields redevelopment in the State of Alabama. First, ADEM personnel will provide an in-depth look at ADEM’s Brownfields Redevelopment and Voluntary Cleanup Program. Next, USEPA staff from Region 4 will conduct a grant writing presentation focusing on competitive brownfields assessment, cleanup, revolving loan fund and training grants. Finally, ADOR representatives will present information on brownfields tax abatements and other redevelopment incentives. The workshop will close with a brief question and answer session.
