2005 BOARD OF HEALTH OFFICERS AND MEMBERS ANNOUNCED

Dr. Bernard H. Eichold II, Health Officer, Mobile County Health Department, reports that the Mobile County Board of Health has elected new officers for 2005.

Dr. Jack A. DiPalma will serve as chairman of the Board of Health; succeeding Dr. Patrick E. Nolan. Dr. Keith M. Ramsey was elected to serve as secretary. Other Board of Health members include: Doctors Thomas C. McGee, Ted N. Catranis, Lorie G. Fleck, M. Craig Kleinmann and Commissioner Mike Dean.

The Board of Health meets monthly to review Mobile County Health Department activities and to provide guidance. The Board is also tasked with selecting the Health Officer when a vacancy occurs. There are seven members on the Board of Health; six of these are physicians serving on the Medical Society's Board of Censors and the seventh member is the current President of the Mobile County Commission.
