Rolling closure on St. Louis St. planned for Friday, July 28

Mobile, Ala. — On Friday, July 28, there will be a rolling road closure on St. Louis Street between N. Washington Ave. and Broad Street. The rolling closure will occur between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Officers from the Mobile Police Department will be on-site assisting with traffic control. Motorists are asked to find alternate routes around the area whenever possible. 

A map of the rolling closure is below. This one-day closure is part of ongoing engineering studies ahead of an upcoming project to repair outdated utility and stormwater infrastructure under St. Louis Street. This is part of the planned repairs needed to reopen the section of Washington Ave. that has been closed to motorists since March.
