Municipal Court Courtroom Information

Courtroom Rules

•    No talking while the Judge is on the bench
•    Cellphones must be silenced or turned off before entering the courtroom
•    No electronic accessories allowed in the courtroom (headsets, ear pods, etc)
•    No use of profanity/slang/name-calling 
•    No food, drink or gum in the courtroom
•    The Court strongly advises that young children are not brought to the Courtroom 

Courtroom Attire

•    No bare shoulders
•    No bare midriffs 
•    No short shorts, short dresses, or mini skirts 
•    No hats of any kind
•    Pants must be worn at the waist
•    No graphic tees
•    No sleepwear attire; including robes/pajamas/slippers
•    No flip flops or athletic slide on sandals
•    No leggings, tights, or hose worn as pants 
•    Sunglasses must be removed
•    No ripped clothing 

Parking

The city is served by several public parking decks and numerous privately-operated surface lots near Government Plaza. Rates will vary. Metered parking is $1.00/hour. Please click the link below to view parking locations in downtown Mobile. There are several streets that allow for free parking as well as free parking under the interstate near Fort Conde. This parking is first come first served.
