Mobile Fire-Rescue Department firefighters were dispatched to the area of Frederick Street near Union Avenue for a report of a residential fire at about 5:12 a.m. Sunday morning, January 12, 2025.
Units arrived on scene to find flames visible from windows on the side of a single-story residence in the 200 block of Union Avenue. Firefighters entered the structure to extinguish the fire and search for any occupants, with no one found inside.
After the fire was controlled, the on-duty investigator started procedures to determine the cause and origin.
Crews worked to minimize damage to the property and extinguished all hotspots. There were no reports on any injuries.
