Steve Huffman Public Information Officer (251) 208-2857/Fax: (251) 208-2861 E-Mail: huffman@cityofmobile.org TWENTY-SEVEN NEW FIREFIGHTERS TO GRADUATE Mobile Fire-Rescue Department will hold graduation ceremonies on Thursday, January 13 for twenty-seven new firefighters who have completed 3 months of firefighter and medical training. The ceremony will be held at the Saenger Theater and will begin at 10 a.m. Training for the graduates included basic emergency medical technician and haz-mat training. In addition to the physical requirements, each recruit spent approximately 640 hours meeting the academic requirements consisting of 21 subject areas and have received Firefighter I and II certification from the State of Alabama Fire College and Personnel Standards Commission.
