10:57 a.m. — Mobile Fire-Rescue Department units were dispatched at about 9:19 a.m. for a report of a residential fire in the 1800 block of Toulmin Avenue in Mobile, Alabama, Tuesday morning, October 23, 2024.
Units arrived on scene within about 2 minutes to find flames and smoke visible from the front and sides of a single-story wood-frame residence. A family of 2 adults and 4 children were safely outside the home.
Crews extinguished the blaze and conducted a primary and secondary search for any possible victims inside. Both searches were clear.
There were no reports of injuries. Crews are now leaving the scene after extinguishing hotspots and investigating the origin and cause.
