THIS WEEKS FRIDAY AT THE FIREHOUSE
This week’s Friday at the Firehouse will be at Husband Station, located at 1000 South Houston Street. Husband fire station was opened in 1943 and is home to the crew of engine 9.
The open house will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Firefighters will be offering tours of the station and equipment, as well as, blood pressure checks.
The program runs from Memorial Day and ends Labor Day. Each Friday evening a select fire station will host an open house. The idea behind the program is to encourage citizens to visit their neighborhood fire station, see the equipment and meet the firefighters assigned there.
We encourage you to come meet your firefighters.
