Mobile Fire-Rescue received the call at approximately 4:32 a.m. reporting a possible explosion and fire at that location. The caller also advised that an approximately 50 year old disabled man was still inside the structure and there was the possibility that Meth was being cooked inside. Firefighters arrived at approximately 4:42 a.m. reporting obvious signs of an explosion but no smoke or fire, just slight haze. They further reported that windows were blown out in front of residence, the ridge cap and shingles on exterior were obviously altered from explosion and the ceiling inside of residence was lying in the floor. Investigators were told that the person was later transferred to USAMC Burn Unit for further treatment. The scene was turned over the Mobile Police for further investigation.
